Unlikely Living • Florida restaurants & hidden gems
Wondering what it's like to eat at Yamas at Eastport in The Villages, Florida? My husband and I visited this Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, and I took pictures of our meals, the menus, and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas so you can get a closer look before you go.

I love discovering places to eat while exploring Central Florida, especially restaurants with a different menu or an interesting setting. On this outing, we stopped at Yamas at Eastport. Instead of just sharing a quick video, I wanted to put together a closer look at the restaurant, including what we actually ordered and photos of the menus available when we visited.
What Is Yamas at Eastport?
Yamas is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located at Hotel Eastport in the Eastport area of The Villages, Florida. The restaurant's setting near Central Lake makes it a dining option to consider if you're visiting or exploring this part of The Villages.
The menu draws on Greek and broader Mediterranean flavors, with options beyond the usual burgers and sandwiches. If you enjoy trying something different, it's worth looking over the menu before you arrive.
Inside Yamas: Indoor and Outdoor Seating
I photographed both dining areas so you can get a sense of the restaurant's atmosphere. Whether you prefer an indoor table or want to ask about outdoor seating, these pictures show what the spaces looked like during our visit.

What We Ordered at Yamas
For our visit, I ordered the Spanakorizo Risotto, and my husband ordered the Yamas Pastitsio. Here are our own photos of both dishes, along with a little explanation of what the names mean.
Spanakorizo Risotto
Spanakorizo is a traditional Greek spinach-and-rice dish. Yamas calls its version Spanakorizo Risotto, bringing that familiar spinach-and-rice combination into a risotto-style entrée. The photograph below shows the dish as it was served to me. For the exact ingredients and any additions, check the restaurant's current menu.

Yamas Pastitsio
My husband chose the Yamas Pastitsio. Pastitsio is a Greek baked pasta dish traditionally made with pasta, seasoned ground meat, and a creamy béchamel-style topping. Different restaurants put their own spin on it, so the photograph below is the best way to see how Yamas presented the version he ordered.
